Guernsey, The Old Government House Hotel
and Spa is the more traditional of the
two properties and the island’s first
and only 5* hotel. Located in St Peter
Port with harbour views, the hotel’s
newest bar and dining experience, The
Crown Club, is popular with guests and
locals alike. ‘The OGH’ as it is
affectionately known, has operated as a
hotel since 1858 with a history dating
back to 1796.
The
4* Duke of Richmond Hotel is also in St
Peter Port, an easy stroll to the busy
harbour and Town. It overlooks a quiet
park and offers views across the St
Peter Port to the sea beyond and the
neighbouring islands of Herm and Sark. The hotel
stands on the site
originally occupied by what is generally
thought to be Guernsey’s oldest hotel
has been fully refurbished and upgraded.
